Calrose Electric Ltd. was founded in 1976 by Jim and Marg Tatomir to fill a need for an electrical company to service the aggregate industry. Jim worked in the field while Marg provided all of the bookkeeping duties. Eventually, Jim was able to hire additional employees and move into a commercial bay in the Foothills Industrial Park in S.E. Calgary. His sons Rob and Paul began working for him during the summers, and while Rob went to university, Paul started in the trade right out of high school and completed his journeyman electrician ticket. Rob would eventually come back to the company and obtain his journeyman ticket as well.
In 1995, Jim was able to purchase his own commercial bay in the Foothills Industrial Park and that’s where the company is to the present. Although the office is in Calgary, we are able to provide products and services to customers throughout Canada and the U.S.A. Prompt service is of the utmost concern to the company, so we stock a large variety of products to ensure we can have customers running as soon as possible. Whether it is small replacement parts or a complete control trailer with generator and controls, we can meet your requirements.
